On October 5, 2024 a large fire engulfed an entire block of historic buildings in downtown Metter, Georgia. The buildings were home to six businesses - five of which were small businesses owned by local entrepreneurs. Those five small businesses were a total loss.

As I sat watching the flames and smoke billow higher and higher into the sky, my heart sank further. I knew I needed to help, but how?

I spent several hours that evening drawing and designing what I could so vividly see in my mind, and the Rebuild Tee was created.

Because of the incredible support of those in and outside of our community, we were able to donate $1,000 to each of those five small businesses. A drop in the bucket for what lies ahead of them, but an incredibly humble donation in hopes that it will serve them in their time of need.

2 Corinthians 5:1 reads, β€œFor we know that if the earthly tent we live in is destroyed, we have a building from God, an eternal house in heaven, not built by human hands.”

I can’t begin to understand the pain and heartbreak my fellow business owners have experienced, but I pray they can find hope in the fact that God has put this experience in their lives to prepare them for the goodness that is coming.
